Road Closure Notice for Public Safety – Lakeridge Circle Area

Magalia, CA – December 22, 2025 – Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) announces a temporary road closure for Lakeridge Circle to ensure public safety during construction activities for the Lakeridge Circle Apartments affordable housing development. The closure has been issued by permit from the Butte County Public Works Department. Due to the poor weather and construction-related traffic, the road closure prioritizes the safety of Magalia residents and travelers in the area.

Closure Details:

  • Location: Lakeridge Circle and Lakeridge Court, extending north to Magalia Pines Baptist Church
  • Duration: December 27, 2025 – November 2026
  • Reason: The closed section will be used for construction staging, deliveries, and equipment parking. The closure will improve safe access to the job site, especially during poor weather conditions, while heavy machinery and deliveries will be active throughout the project.

Public Safety Advisory:

  • Expect increased construction traffic and heavy equipment in the vicinity.
  • Closure signs will be posted at affected intersections.
  • No businesses, residences, or buildings are located within the shutdown area.

Detour Information:

  • County officials have not required formal detours at this time. The expected impact on travelers is minimal.
  • To access Holiday Market, Dollar General, and Magalia Pines Baptist Church, use Skyway and the southern Lakeridge Circle intersection.
  • To access Ampla Health, Kyle Family Dentistry, and Del Oro Water Company, use Skyway and the northern Lakeridge Circle intersection.
