Rock the House Gala Cancelled Due to Camp Fire

Dear CHIP Supporters,

Our hearts go out to the victims of this devastating Camp Fire, and we have decided to cancel our Rock the House event on November 16.

CHIP tenants in Paradise have all become displaced as we have lost Paradise Community Village (36 units of affordable housing) to this devastating event. Many of our own staff members have lost their homes as well. Air quality is very poor in Chico and Sierra Nevada Big Room is using their location to help employees who are victims of the fire.

As a sponsor or ticketholder, CHIP will be happy to refund your money. Should you decided to let us keep your donations, the entire amount you gave will be tax deductible, not just the tax deductible portion, and we are happy to send you new receipts.  Additionally, CHIP will donate 20 percent of net funds raised to the Camp Fire, via Tri Counties Bank‘s Camp Fire Fund.  We also plan to honor our Outstanding Partner and Service award recipients at our post-holiday party in February and will contact those individuals with details.

At this time, there is very little housing in the area for those displaced, which makes CHIP’s mission more critical than ever.  Please contact dgonzalez@chiphousing.org 530-891-6931 x249 to let me know if you need a refund or would like to leave the funds in place. Responses would be appreciated by November 16.

Thank you for all you do for us, and thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
