A place of their own: Self-help housing helps address lack of affordable options

   After putting in the work to help build them, five local families received keys to their new homes in the Linda area.
It's all a part of a state “mutual selfhelp housing” program that assists low-income families in moving into affordable housing.
   Before receiving the keys on Sept. 27, the families worked sidebyside with the Community Housing Improvement
